During labor and overnight hospital stays, I provide hands-on comfort support and practical assistance — much like a steady, experienced support person — so families feel calm, cared for, and not overwhelmed.

Supportive care may include:

• Assisting with comfort positioning and movement (as permitted by medical staff)
   
• Counter-pressure and physical comfort during contractions
   
• Supporting breathing and nervous system regulation techniques
   
• Helping with hydration, ice chips, cool cloths, and comfort measures
